In 2023, Normandin Beaudry expanded its reach and became an independent, equal shareholder of MBWL International, a joint venture already comprising Milliman, Barnett Waddingham and Lurse.

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources and Administrative Services, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a central role, which is both strategic and tactical, in implementing our talent initiatives and priorities in the aim of fostering the engagement and development of human capital.

We are looking for a human resources generalist with a major in training and organizational development. The HRBP will support the teams and managers of their designated clients throughout the employee lifecycle.

In addition, the HRBP plays a crucial role in developing and implementing innovative programs in the areas of organizational transformation, change management, continuous improvement, skills development, training, leadership development, coaching and mentorship, while aligning these initiatives with the company’s priorities and strategic objectives.

Main responsibilities

Providing advice and supporting managers in various areas of human resources management
Working in close collaboration with managers and teams to identify short- and long-term needs in terms of developing human capital
Leading and supporting the development of company-wide policies, procedures and programs, particularly in the areas of training and organizational development, in alignment with industry best practices
Actively participating in the evolution of the corporate culture by facilitating the implementation of inclusive practices that promote employee well-being
Monitoring performance indicators and proposing adjustments to existing initiatives to maximize their impact and the creation of value
Designing, developing and implementing training programs tailored to the organization’s various audiences (in-person, online and hybrid training)
Selecting and developing innovative educational tools to maximize learning (e-learning, interactive workshops, coaching, etc.)
Developing assessment tools to measure the impact of training on employee and company performance
Making regular reports on the effectiveness and profitability of training programs to stakeholders
Leading workshops or specific training courses in order to strengthen the capacity of managers to develop their teams
Keeping informed of trends in training and organizational development
Collaborating with the other members of the HR team (recruitment, talent management, compensation) to align talent development programs with other HR practices
Contributing to multidisciplinary HR projects by providing expertise on training and talent development

Competencies sought

A bachelor’s degree in human resources management, industrial relations or a related field
Member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés (asset)
French/English bilingualism is essential (written and spoken): fluency in written and spoken English is required, as the incumbent will be frequently in contact with English-speaking clients
Eight (8) or more years of experience in a similar position with prior experience in all aspects of the HRBP role, including performance improvement, talent management, career development, succession planning, leadership development and change management
Ability to innovate and propose solutions that are tailored to company needs
Comfortable in a dynamic environment in constant evolution

Excellent interpersonal skills, active listening and empathy
Strong focus on customer service
Business vision, sound judgment, intellectual curiosity and ability to anticipate
Experience with human resources best practices and substantial project management experience

Ability to juggle several activities, projects and deadlines at once
Mastery of e-learning tools (LMS) and instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, etc.)
