We are looking for a DevOps/Platform Engineer to join our software development team in Montreal. In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining and evolving our deployment platforms and delivery pipelines, while supporting the migration of legacy systems to modern cloud-native architectures.

You will work closely with developers and the infrastructure team to ensure reliable, secure and scalable deployments across both Windows-based environments and containerized Linux workloads.

You will be able to leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code or equivalent) to enhance productivity and automation practices.

Your responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) for application delivery
  • Automate build, deployment and release processes across environments
  • Support and execute the migration of legacy deployments to modern architectures (containers, cloud-native patterns)
  • Manage and maintain Virtual Machines in the Windows environments (including IIS) and Linux-based container platforms
  • Deploy and operate applications on Azure infrastructure
  • Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and Packer
  • Collaborate and coordinate with development and infrastructure teams to improve deployment strategies, observability and reliability
  • Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues and support production environments
  • Demonstrate flexibility and occasionally work outside of normal business hours as needed
  • Ensure compliance with security, networking and data protection standards

Requirements

  • University degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field
  • Solid experience with Azure and Azure DevOps
  • Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working with Windows server environments and IIS
  • Experience with Linux environments and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes or similar)
  • Solid experience with SQL Server (mandatory), including deployment and operational aspects
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform required, Packer an asset)
  • Very good understanding of networking, security, and deployment best practices
  • Solid experience in complex production environment, with a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues

Assets

  • Experience modernizing or migrating legacy systems to cloud-native architectures
  • Experience with observability tools (monitoring, logging, tracing)
  • Experience supporting .NET application deployments
  • Experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar)
  • Experience in performance optimization and scalability
