2019 salary increase budgets
Here are the results of the survey on the granted salary increase budgets conducted among 118 organizations in November 2018.
The average salary increase budget in Canada for 2019 is up slightly to 2.7% compared to summer 2018 forecasts:
- The average salary increase budget forecast for Quebec remains stable at 2.7%
- The Maritime provinces have been catching up and are now in line with the Canadian average
For Canadian organizations, salary structure increases have also increased slightly compared to summer 2018 forecasts, bringing them to 2.1%:
- Ontario is exactly in line with this trend and has risen to 2.1% (+0.2%)
- There has been a significant increase of 0.4% in Western Canada, which has helped boost the Canadian average
